Polypropylene pipes are connected by welding machine for polypropylene pipes with special nozzles.

A special instrument – a pipe cutter is used to cut polypropylene tubes. Before the pipes connection process, it is required to clean the surface of the pipe against dust and dirt.

Welding process of polypropylene pipes:

  • insert teflon nozzles of desired diameter, heat the welding machine up to 260°C;
  • measure and cut a pipe of required length in the vertical position using pipe cutter. If the pipe is reinforced with aluminum foil, it is required to remove aluminum layer by means of sweeps for the foil;
  • welding depth is marked on the pipe (see table Welding Time);
  • pipe and fitting must be worn on the nozzle of the welding apparatus;
  • after heating, remove pipe and fitting from the nozzles and slowly put components on each other (see table Welding Time);
  • wait for complete cooling of the welded surfaces (see table of welding time).

If the pipes are transported at subzero temperatures, before unpacking  they should be kept warm  for at least 3 hours.
